To open and edit a task

1.
To open an existing task for editing, do one of the following:

Do any of the following:

  • Change the title. Enter a new title for the task in the Task text box.

  • Change the completion status. Add or remove the check mark from the Complete check box.

  • Change or assign a priority. Choose a different option from the Priority pop-up menu. To remove the priority setting, choose Normal.

  • Change, remove, or add a due date or reminder. To change a due date or reminder, specify a different date or date/time, respectively. To remove a due date or reminder, clear the Due date and/or Reminder check boxes. To add a due date or reminder, check the Due date and/or Reminder check boxes and then specify a date or a date/time, respectively.

  • Change categories assigned to the task. Add categories by choosing them from the Categories toolbar icon or the Edit > Categories submenu (see Figure 5.3). To remove an assigned category, select the category again.

  • Change projects associated with the task. To associate a task with a project, choose the project name from the Project toolbar icon's drop-down menu (see Figure 5.4). To break a task's association with a project, choose the project name again. To break associations with all projects, choose None.

You can also modify project associations by choosing commands from the Edit > Projects submenu (Figure 5.27).
