Chapter 19. The Presentation > Using the Presenter Tools

Using the Presenter Tools

If you have a dual-monitor system, you can use the new presenter tools to assist with your presentation. The presentation appears on the audience's monitor, while the tools appear on only on the presenter's monitor.

To use the presenter tools

1.
Using the Displays System Preferences, set up your Mac so it can address two monitors.

For instructions, see “Set up your system to use the presenter tools with two monitors” in PowerPoint Help.

Turn on the presenter tools (Figure 19.23) by choosing Slide Show > View Presenter Tools.

Use normal slide show navigation methods to move from one slide to the next. In addition, you can do the following:

  • Click an arrow icon to move forward or backward one slide.

  • Click a slide thumbnail to move directly to that slide.

To change the notes magnification, select a percentage from the pop-up menu above the notes area.

5.
Click the Help button to view keyboard commands for the presenter tools.

6.
To end the slide show, click End, or press , , or .
