Chapter 19. The Presentation > Animation Within Slides

Animation Within Slides

Motion within a slide is known as animation. An animation can be applied to text, objects, or charts, as well as applied selectively or to all material on a slide. You can specify multiple animations for a single object, if desired.

To add animation to a slide

  • Do one of the following:

    • To animate all text on a slide, switch to Slide Sorter View and select the slide. Choose Slide Show > Preset Animations and pick an effect from the submenu (Figure 19.10).

Figure 19.10. Choose an animation effect from the Preset Animations submenu. To view all animations for the current slide, choose Animation Preview.

    • To animate selected items on a slide, display the slide in Normal, Slide, or Outline View. Select one or more items to which you want to apply the animation, choose Slide Show > Preset Animations, and pick an effect from the submenu.
