Chapter 8. Other Word Features > Using the Contact Toolbar

Using the Contact Toolbar

Using the Contact toolbar, you can quickly add name, address, and other contact information from your Office Address Book to letters, labels, and envelopes. (The Office Address Book is normally maintained in Entourage but is also accessible from Word.)

To use the Contact toolbar

1.
Choose View > Toolbars > Contact.

The Contact toolbar appears above the document window (Figure 8.1).

Figure 8.1. You can use the Contact toolbar to insert contact names and other information from the Office Address Book into your documents.

2.
To insert a contact into your document, position the insertion point where you'd like to insert the contact information.

3.
Choose the contact name from the Contacts drop-down menu.

The contact's name appears in the document at the insertion point.

4.
If you've recorded a street address, phone number, or email address for the contact, you can also insert that information into the document by clicking the Include Address, Include Phone, or Include E-mail toolbar icon.
