Part: II Microsoft Word > Other Word Features

Chapter 8. Other Word Features

Many people—perhaps most—only use Word for traditional word-processing tasks, such as writing letters, memos, and the occasional report. However, Word also has a host of ancillary features and capabilities that you may occasionally find useful. In this chapter, you'll learn to do the following:

  • Use the Contact toolbar to add contact information from your Office Address Book to Word documents

  • Create labels and envelopes

  • Design catalogues, menus, and newsletters

  • Use the Data Merge Manager to create merge documents, such as personalized form letters

  • Use Outline View to create outlines

  • Use the new Notebook Layout View to help organize your thoughts
