Part: IV Microsoft PowerPoint > Charts and Tables

Chapter 18. Charts and Tables

A chart or graph can make complex numerical information easier to interpret by expressing it visually. To create or edit a chart, PowerPoint uses Graph, the same charting program used by Excel. When creating a new chart or editing an existing one, you temporarily leave PowerPoint and work directly in Graph.

The following instructions will help you add and modify charts and graphs for use in a presentation. Note that the terms chart and graph are used interchangeably throughout the chapter. It's also important to note that all editing of the chart type and its elements are done within Graph, not PowerPoint.
