Chapter 1. Essential Office Techniques > Flagging Files for Followup

Flagging Files for Followup

You can flag any Office document for followup at a later time. For instance, if you want to be reminded to review a budget worksheet two hours before the scheduled meeting, you can flag it for followup. At the appointed date and time, a reminder will pop onscreen. The Office Notifications program (see Chapter 23) is responsible for displaying all Office-related reminders.

To flag a document for followup

1.
Make the document active in the Office program in which it was created and then do one of the following:

  • Click the Flag for Follow Up icon on the Standard toolbar (Figure 1.45).

  • Choose Tools > Flag for Follow Up.

The Flag for Follow Up dialog box appears (Figure 1.46).

2.
Specify the date and time at which you want to be reminded, and then click OK.

The flagged document is recorded as a new Entourage task.

3.
