Nesting Tables

Nested tables are tables within tables. They can be handy if you have a special subcategory of information that the table needs to reflect. Inserting a nested table is similar to creating a new table.

To insert a nested table

1.
Click in your current table to select a place to insert the nested table (Figure 7.25).

2.
Click the Insert Table icon on the Standard toolbar (see Figure 7.1) and drag to specify the number of rows and columns for the nested table.

A nested table appears within your original table (Figure 7.26).
