To create a text slide

1.
Choose Insert > New Slide or click the New Slide icon on the Standard toolbar (see Figure 17.11).

2.
In the New Slide dialog box (see Figure 17.13), select a slide style that contains text and then click OK.

The new slide appears (Figure 17.16).

3.
Click the “Click to add title” or “Click to add text” placeholder and type the text.

4.
Click the next placeholder and continue typing text (Figure 17.17).

✓ Tips

  • If the New Slide dialog box doesn't appear, see the previous section for help.

  • When you finish typing text in a placeholder, you can press to jump to the next placeholder.

  • When you finish typing the text in the bottommost placeholder on a slide, you can press to automatically create another slide of the same type.

  • To format text, set paragraph alignment, or create additional bullet or numbered lists, you can choose commands from the Format menu, the Formatting toolbar, or the Formatting Palette.
