Chapter 17. Creating a Presentation > To set a color scheme

To set a color scheme

1.
If you intend to apply the color scheme to only a specific slide in the presentation, display or select that slide.

When you're applying the color scheme to all the slides in the presentation, the specific slide displayed doesn't matter.

2.
Choose Format > Slide Color Scheme.

The Color Scheme dialog box appears.

3.
Do one of the following:

  • Select a predefined color scheme from the Standard tab (Figure 17.39).

Figure 17.39. You can select a predefined color scheme from the Standard tab of the dialog box.

  • To customize the current color scheme, click the Custom tab (Figure 17.40). Specify new colors by selecting an element's color box and then clicking the Change Color button.

Figure 17.40. To customize the current color scheme, specify colors for the eight types of effects shown on the Custom tab of the Color Scheme dialog box.

4.
Optional: To preview the chosen color scheme on the current slide, click the Preview button.

5.
Do one of the following:

  • To apply the color scheme to only the displayed slide, click Apply.

  • To apply it to all slides in the presentation, click Apply to All.

✓ Tip

  • The color scheme is stored in a template, so if you switch templates, you'll switch color schemes, too.
