About Views

Changing views is like getting a different perspective on your presentation. You can change your view to focus on specific elements of your work. For instance, if you need to rearrange slides, you can use the Slide Sorter view. Each view shows a different aspect of the presentation. You can switch views at any time.

  • Normal view (see Figure 17.3) displays the text, slide, and notes, enabling you to work on all parts of your presentation in one window.

  • Outline view (Figure 17.6) focuses on the text of the presentation in outline form.

  • Slide view (Figure 17.7) displays one slide at a time so you can concentrate on modifying the text and graphics of each slide.

  • Slide Sorter view (Figure 17.8) displays miniatures (or thumbnails) of all slides. You can reorganize them by clicking and dragging or go directly to any slide by double-clicking it. You can also add and edit the transition effects within and between slides.

  • Notes Page view (Figure 17.9) lets you enter and edit the speaker's notes that accompany the slides.

  • Slide Show view displays the presentation as an onscreen slide show.
