Creating a New Chart

You can use either of the following procedures to add a chart to a slide.

To add a chart to a chart layout

1.
Click the New Slide icon on the Standard toolbar, choose Insert > New Slide, or press .

The New Slide dialog box appears (Figure 18.1).

Select a layout that includes a chart placeholder: Chart, Text & Chart, or Chart & Text.

3.
Click OK.

The chart slide appears (Figure 18.2).

To add a chart to the new slide, double-click where you see the “Double click to add chart” text.

Graph launches. A sample chart and datasheet appear (Figure 18.3).
