Creating Artistic Text

WordArt is graphically formatted text that Word can display in a number of preset, artistic styles. After creating WordArt, you can modify or fine-tune it using the WordArt toolbar.

To insert WordArt

1.
Choose Insert > Picture > WordArt or click the Insert WordArt icon on the Drawing toolbar.

Select a style from the WordArt Gallery (Figure 6.20) and click OK.

The Edit WordArt Text dialog box appears (Figure 6.21).

Figure 6.21. Replace the sample text with your own text. You can also set the font, size, and style.


3.
Replace the placeholder text with your own text. Set the font, size, and style and click OK.

Your WordArt-formatted text and the WordArt toolbar appear (Figure 6.22 and Figure 6.23).
