Shape Editing

You can change the size of shapes or Auto-Shapes, as well as embellish them with color, shadows, and three-dimensional effects.

To resize a shape

Do any of the following:

  • To resize an object non-proportionately, click and drag any handle.

  • To resize an object proportionately, press as you drag a corner handle.

  • To resize an object from its center, press as you drag any handle. Press as you drag to proportionately resize from the center.

  • Open the Format AutoShape dialog box. (Double-click the shape, choose Format > AutoShape, or click the Draw icon on the Drawing toolbar and choose Format AutoShape.) Click the Size tab (Figure 6.11). Enter a new height and width or scaling percentages. To resize proportionately, click the Lock aspect ratio check box.
