Setting Text Wrap

All images—whether clip art, photos, shapes, or AutoShapes—are objects. An object's wrapping style (also known as text wrap) determines how it's displayed and interacts with surrounding text.

Objects can be in-line or floating. An in-line object is part of a paragraph and is subject to the paragraph's formatting. As an example, you might include artwork for an icon you want readers to recognize and embed it in a sentence (Figure 6.5). Floating objects, on the other hand, can be freely moved about the page and are not tied to a paragraph.
