Chapter 6. Printing Documents > Saving a Document as a PDF or PostScript File

Saving a Document as a PDF or PostScript File

In Word X, you can use the Print dialog to save a document as a PDF or PostScript file. PDF (which stands for Portable Document Format) files can be opened and read with Preview on Mac OS X or Adobe Acrobat Reader on virtually any computer or operating system. PostScript files are often used to output documents to high-resolution printing devices such as imagesetters.
