Editing Images

While you are working in Acrobat, you may decide that you want to edit one of the images in a PDF file. Acrobat enables you to edit images with ease, once you designate a program to use. Acrobat launches that program to open the image to be edited. When it is saved, the updated image shows up in your PDF file.

Images are pictures made up of tiny dots, or pixels. When you edit images, you need to use a pixel-based program (such as Photoshop) that changes the color of the pixels. Objects, or vector-based art, are created by drawing actual lines and blocks of colors. These objects or vectors can be edited in a vector-based program such as Illustrator.
