Opening PDF Files

Opening and closing PDF files is pretty straightforward. You can open files whether Acrobat is running or not.

To open a PDF file:

  • Choose Open from the File menu (Ctrl+O/Command-O) to display the Open dialog box; then select the PDF file you want to open and click the Open button (Figure 5.23).

    Figure 5.23. Select the file you want to open, and click Open.


    or

    Drag the PDF file you want to open on top of the Acrobat icon.

    or

    Double-click the PDF file's icon.
