Creating Form Documents and Fields

A form document is simply a PDF file to which readers can add form information. You can create a form document in any application from which you can print. Using InDesign, for example, you can create an order form (Figure 8.1). To make the form a PDF, you choose Export from InDesign's File menu and save the file as a PDF file. Then you open the file in Acrobat (Figure 8.2) and save it.
