Chapter 8. Forms

Chapter 8. Forms

Interactivity. That's what electronic publishing is really all about. The 1980s theory of a paperless society is still pretty far off, for several reasons. One of those reasons is that electronic media have had no really good means of collecting feedback, allowing users to input information in a way that they use a pen or pencil to fill out paper forms. That situation changed with Acrobat's forms capabilities.

Forms allow people who view a document with Acrobat Reader to fill in text fields, choose options, click buttons, and even send information over the Internet automatically.

Setting up forms is designed to be as simple as possible, with a straightforward list of options and a single Form tool to assist you.
