Using Page Actions

In this section, you set up a movie to play automatically when you view a certain page in a document.

To create a movie that plays automatically:

1.
Follow the steps in the previous task to select and set up a movie to play in the document.

Choose Set Page Action from the Document menu (Figure 9.22).

The Page Actions dialog box appears.

In the When this happens list, select Page Open (Figure 9.23).

Click the Add button.

The Add an Action dialog box appears.

Choose Movie from the Type pop-up menu.

Click the Select Movie button.

The Movie Action dialog box opens (Figure 9.24). The Select Movie pop-up menu lists all the movies that have been linked to the PDF.

Choose a movie from the Select Movie pop-up menu.

8.
Choose Play from the Select Operation pop-up menu. Click OK.

The Movie Action dialog box closes; you return to the Add an Action dialog box.

9.
Click Set Action.

The Add an Action dialog box closes, and you return to the Page Actions dialog box. Click OK.

10.
Save the PDF file.

Now when the saved page is opened, the movie will play automatically.
