Chapter 1. Acrobat Reader Basics > Viewing a PDF File

Viewing a PDF File

Acrobat Reader gives you some general options for viewing a PDF file: You can view just the document itself without the toolbar and menus, and you can choose between single-page and multiple-page views.

To view the document only:

1.
Choose Full Screen from the View menu (Ctrl+L/ Command-L).

Everything but the currently open document will be hidden, including the Reader menu bar and any application windows.

2.
To exit Full Screen mode, press the Esc key (or Ctrl+L/Command-L). The document will then be displayed as it was prior to toggling to Full Screen mode.
