Chapter 9. XML and Office

VERSION NOTE

The material in this chapter is unique to Office 2003.

Office 2003 features a rich XML function set. Compared with Office XP, support for practical XML work has been enhanced with several new objects, properties, and methods. The new functionality is nearly all contained in Word and Excel. With these products are new ways to open, import, work with, export, and save XML data. There also is new functionality in Access. This chapter explores XML use as it applies to each product. Note that InfoPath is covered separately in Chapter 11.
