Chapter 8. Microsoft Forms > Creating a Form

Creating a Form

This section demonstrates the creation of two forms. The forms sit in an Excel workbook that maintains a schedule of appointments to see clients. The first form is used to facilitate easy click-through appointment setting. The form makes use of the calendar control to both set an appointment and view appointments that are already set up. Two lists—times and clients—are used with the calendar to make an appointment.

A third list shows appointments that are already established. Setting an appointment is difficult for any of us when we cannot see what appointments have already been scheduled. The form as shown in Figure 8.1 displays existing appointments for the day selected in the calendar. As new appointments are set, the list on the right of the form is updated. This list is displayed with a tree-view control, which shows the hierarchy of times and appointments.
