Running a Query

Running a query creates the record source and prepares the solution document for mail merge work. The result is to leave the solution document in a state such that the record source is “attached,” and the merge fields are available. Clicking the Run Query button on the Query form runs the cmdRunQuery_Click routine, which performs these steps:

  • Validate the input.

  • Create an SQL statement based on the criteria on the form.

  • Create a set of records using the SQL and associate these records with the solution document.
