Summary

Excel is an enormously powerful desktop application. Countless initiatives in the workplace rely on Excel in some form. Entire departments thrive on Excel—just think of the accounting or finance group in your place of work.

This chapter demonstrated how to program many facets of Excel. There are a vast number of objects in Excel, and exponentially more properties and methods to manipulate. Chapter 9, “XML and Office,” demonstrates the XML and List features in Excel 2003. Chapters 13 and 14 illustrate using Excel to solve specific business needs.
