Chapter 13. Dynamic Data Delivery > PowerPoint Presentation Development

PowerPoint Presentation Development

The PowerPoint file mirrors the Excel file. For each worksheet, there is a slide. For each Excel chart, there is a PowerPoint chart. The PowerPoint file is created from scratch in the normal user-interface way. Slides are added, and the appropriate number of charts are added using the Insert menu or the Insert Chart button on the Standard toolbar.

In Excel, it's easy to change worksheet tab names manually, as well as give names to the ranges of data. In PowerPoint, there is no way to change slide names except with the help of VBA coding. In the PowerPoint file, it is necessary to control the names of both the slides and the charts. The charts also are named with the help of VBA.
