Excel Workbook Development

Let's first consider the Excel workbook. Each worksheet has been renamed to reflect its purpose. See Figure 13.2. There is one sheet with just data, and that sheet is aptly named “Data”. The Data sheet holds raw data and summarizes it by time period and category. See Figures 13.3 and 13.4. In a typical production environment, the Data sheet is populated through queries into Oracle, SQL Server, or some other database product.
