Opening Existing Documents

Once a document has been saved, you can reopen it to read it, modify it, or print it.

To open an existing document

1.
Choose File > Open ( Figure 6) or press .

or

Click the Open button on the Standard toolbar.

Use the Open dialog box that appears (Figure 20) to locate the file that you want to open:

  • Use the directory pop-up menu near the top of the dialog box (Figure 21) to back out of the current folder.

  • Double-click a folder to open it.

Select the file that you want to open (Figure 22) and click the Open button.

Double-click the file that you want to open.
