Inserting & Deleting Cells

You can insert or remove columns, rows, or individual cells at any time to change the structure of a table.

To insert a column

1.
Select a column adjacent to where you want to insert a column (Figure 43).

To insert a column to the left of the selected column, choose Table > Insert > Columns to the Left (Figure 44) or click the Insert Columns button on the Standard toolbar.

To insert a column to the right of the selected column, choose Table > Insert > Columns to the Right (Figure 44).

An empty column is inserted (Figure 45).
