Lesson 4. Customizing Adobe PDF Output Quality

Lesson 4. Customizing Adobe PDF Output Quality

You control the output quality of your files by specifying appropriate job options used by Acrobat Distiller to convert the files to Adobe PDF. In addition to default job options designed to produce satisfactory results for common output needs, Distiller lets you customize job options for your specific needs.

In this lesson, you'll learn how to do the following:

  • Choose Acrobat Distiller compression and resampling job options.

  • Compare the output of Adobe PDF files converted with different default Distiller job options.

  • Explore the color management settings in the default Distiller job options.

  • Set up watched folders for batch-processing of PDF files.

  • Convert PostScript files to Adobe PDF using the drag-and-drop method.

This lesson will take approximately 35 minutes to complete.

If needed, remove the previous lesson folder from your hard drive, and copy the Lesson04 folder onto it.
