Formatting a Chart Element

You can format the appearance of any individual element of the chart, such as one set of bars, one line, or an axis. You may also change the style of any series in the chart by formatting a series group.

To format a chart element:

1.
Click the chart to make it active, if necessary.

2.
Double-click the chart element that you want to format (Figure 20.26).

The appropriate dialog box for the element you've chosen appears. Choose formatting settings under the appropriate tabs (Figure 20.27).
