Using Gridlines

You can choose to either display or hide gridlines. Gridlines are helpful if you want to compare numerical data. You can add gridlines to any chart except for pie and doughnut charts.

To use a gridline:

1.
Click the chart to make it active, if necessary.

2.
To turn the gridlines on or off, click the Category Axis Gridlines (vertical) and/or Value Axis Gridlines (horizontal) buttons on the Graph Standard toolbar (Figure 20.15).
