Starting a Chart

There are several ways to include a chart in a slide. Choose the method that is best for you.

To start a chart:

1.
Click the New Slide button on the Common Tasks palette.

2.
In the New Slide dialog box, choose one of the three layouts that include a chart placeholder (Chart, Text & Chart, Chart & Text) (Figure 20.1).

The name of the layout appears when you click it.

3.
Click OK. The chart slide appears.

4.
Double-click the "Double click to add chart" placeholder (Figure 20.2).
