Modifying an Existing Template

You can take any of the templates that Word offers and make changes and additions to them. In this way you can create documents that are customized for your purposes.

To modify a template:

1.
Select File > Open ().

In the Open dialog box, choose Word Templates from the Show pull-down menu (Figure 4.5).

Double-click a template name on the list to open the template.

Make editing and formatting changes to the template.

5.
Select File > Save.

Your modified template is saved for future use.
