1.
Click Tasks in the Folder List.

2.
Create a new task by opening a new window, or edit an existing task by double-clicking it (Figure 26.22).

Figure 26.22. Open a task.

3.
Click the Recurrence button.

4.
The Recurring Task dialog box opens (Figure 26.23). Be sure the Recurring task checkbox is checked.

5.
At the top of the window, set the recurrence pattern. The choices vary depending on whether you choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly in the left-hand pane.

6.
In the Start and End pane, choose whether to have the task recur indefinitely, end after a certain number of occurrences, or end by a particular date.

7.
Click OK to close the dialog box.

8.
Save and close the task window.

Tip

The Start date of a recurring task is the Due date in the task window.

Tip

To stop a task from recurring, open the task window, click Recurrence, and uncheck the Recurring task checkbox in the Recurring Task dialog box.

Tip

To set a task to occur on, for example, the second and fourth Thursday of each month, create two tasks, one recurring on the second Thursday and one recurring on the fourth Thursday. You can duplicate a task by selecting it and choosing Edit > Duplicate Task () (Figure 26.24).
