Adding and Deleting Tasks

You can add tasks directly to the list or by linking from other events.

To add a task directly:

1.
Click Tasks in the Folder List to display the current task list (Figure 26.6).

Click the New button at the left end of the toolbar at the top of the window (Figure 26.7).

Choose File > New > Task () (Figure 26.8).

A new task window appears. Give the task a name, assign a category from the Categories pull-down menu, assign a priority, set the due date, schedule a reminder, or add a note (Figure 26.9). All these are optional, but you must change at least one of these to be able to save the task.

If this is a recurring task, click the Recurrence button. The Recurring Task window appears (Figure 26.10). Set the recurrence pattern, and choose an end criterion from the options in the Start and End pane. Click OK.

To save the task, click the Save button at the top of the task window (Figure 26.11), or choose File > Save () (Figure 26.12).
