Chapter 29. Copying and Linking

Office allows you to share information among the existing applications easily. The three main ways to share information are to copy, link, or embed it from one application to another. Chapter 30 goes into specifics for sharing information in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Entourage. This chapter covers the basics of each different way to share information.

You can choose to copy and paste or drag and drop the information into the document. For example, you can paste an Excel chart into a Word document (Figure 29.1). The chart then becomes part of the Word document and still looks as it did when you created it.
