Chapter 14. Analyzing Data

Excel offers several ways to analyze data while it is still in rows-and-columns format, including switching columns and rows with PivotTable techniques, finding values you don't have enough information to calculate directly, investigating the effects on the bottom line of changing the contributing factors, and solving for one value when you know all the others. Another way of analyzing data in Excel is to display it graphically in a chart; see Chapter 15 to get started using charts.
