Part 2: Part 2: Microsoft Word > Adding shape and style

Chapter 5. Adding shape and style

If you have a Word document filled with text, you can now shape and style it. Of course, you can always format your document first, then add the words later. Page formatting allows you the freedom to create the kind of document that best suits your needs. To format a page, set the size and shape of the page. Word will adjust the text to fit the new page size and margins.

You can add columns and make your document look like a newspaper, or change the page size to accommodate many different kinds of documents, such as birthday cards, announcements, or flyers.
