Using Design Templates

Templates can provide the graphic design and color scheme of a presentation, and they can also suggest content and structure, with a set of slides whose text you edit.

To use a design template:

1.
From the File menu, choose Project Gallery.

2.
In the Project Gallery window, click the PowerPoint Presentation icon, and then click Designs in the Category menu.

A list of different design samples appears in the panel to the right. A preview of each design displays in the farthest right pane (Figure 18.13).

Click any of the designs, and note the Preview on the right. When you find one you like, click OK.

4.
In the New Slide dialog box that appears, click the appropriate icon for your first slide,and click OK (Figure 18.14).

5.
A new presentation oopens in the selected design (Figure 18.15).
