Using the AutoContent Wizard

Alternatively, you can turn to the AutoContent Wizard to walk you through the process of creating a presentation step-by-step. The Wizard offers a variety of suggested presentation outlines in which you can replace the sample text with your own.

To use the AutoContent Wizard:

1.
Click the Open button on the Standard toolbar (Figure 18.5).

From the File menu, choose Open Figure 18.6.

In the Project Gallery window, click the Open button in the lower-left corner.

The Open: Microsoft PowerPoint dialog box opens.

From the Microsoft Office 2001 directory, select the Templates folder, and click Open (Figure 18.7).

Double-click the Templates folder.

Click AutoContent Wizard to highlight it, and click Open (Figure 18.8).

The AutoContent Wizard appears.

In step 1 of the AutoContent Wizard, choose the category from the pull-down menu, and select an option from the subcategory menu for the type of presentation you are creating. Click Next (Figure 18.9).

In step 2, choose an output option for your presentation (Figure 18.10).

6.
In step 3, enter information for your title slide. Click Finish (Figure 18.11).

The structure of your chosen presentation appears (Figure 18.12).
