Using Pictures, Tables, and Other Objects

Text passages, drawings, charts, scanned images, and other items you can select are called objects. After you have selected objects (by clicking them or dragging through them), you can drag them to reposition them on the page within an application, and you can usually also drag them to other documents, even other documents in other applications. Hold down the key while you drag to copy instead of move an object.

To format an object, you must always first select it and then choose a formatting command.
