Editing Cells

The easiest way to change a cell's contents is to click the cell and then type right over the words or number. But if the cell contains a formula, you may want to edit the formula instead, so you don't have to retype the whole entry.

To edit a cell:

1.
Click the cell, and then type over the contents (Figure 9.28).

Double-click in the cell to place an insertion point in the contents.

Edit the contents as though you were editing text in Word. See Chapter 3.

Move to another cell (usually by pressing or ) to enter the revision into the cell (Figure 9.29).
