Managing Mailing Lists

It's common to subscribe to mailing lists for people with common interests. When you're a member of a mailing list, you get a copy of all messages sent to the list, and when you post a message to the list (if that's allowed by the list moderator), everyone who subscribes will get a copy of your message. Entourage gives you a special case of its Rules function to handle mailing-list messages.

To manage mailing-list subscriptions:

Choose Tools> Mailing List Manager (Figure 23.52).

In the dialog box that appears (Figure 23.53), add a rule for each mailing list to which you belong.

In the Edit Mailing List Rule dialog box (Figure 23.54), specify the list address and disposition of messages from and to each list. Make sure the box next to Enabled is checked, and click OK.
