Adding Graphics to the Background

You can unify your presentation and give it a theme by adding graphics to the background. Choose graphics from the collections of art included in the standard Office installation, or use your own graphics.

To add graphics to the background:

1.
From the View menu choose Master> Slide Master (Figure 19.23).

Hold down as you click the Slide View button.

From the Insert menu, choose Picture> From File (Figure 19.24).

Modify the graphic background object, if needed, using PowerPoint's drawing tools on the Drawing toolbar. Or add new objects. See "Drawing Shapes," above, and Figure 19.16.

4.
Click one of the View buttons to leave Slide Master view and see the effect of the changes you've made (Figure 19.25).
