Adding Color, Shadows, and 3D Effects

Now we can add fancy elements to our drawings. Color, shadows, and three-dimensional effects can really make your drawings stand out.

  1. Click a line or shape to select it. Handles appear.

  2. Click the small arrow to the right of the Line Color button on the Drawing toolbar to bring up a palette of colors. The color that is selected will be the color of the line or the color of the shape's outline (Figure 6.13).

  3. Click the small arrow to the right of the Fill Color button on the Drawing toolbar to bring up a palette of fill colors. The color you select from this palette will fill any empty area of the selected shape (Figure 6.14).
