Aligning Data in the Table

You can manipulate the arrangement of text in your table. The text that you type may not appear to fit at first, but keep in mind that the size of the cells can be adjusted.

To align data:

To align data vertically (top, center, bottom) or horizontally (left, center, right) within cells, select the cells you want to align (Figure 7.15). Click the Cell Alignment button in the Tables and Borders toolbar, and select the appropriate tool in the pop-up palette (Figure 7.16).

To change the orientation of data within cells, select the cells you want to orient, and click the Change Text Direction button in the Tables and Borders toolbar (Figure 7.17).
