Chapter 24. Contacts > Directory Services

Directory Services

If you need an e-mail address you don't have, you may be able to find it in a directory service. Entourage supports Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) services, and you probably have access to one or more such directories. Ask your ISP for more information. If your company uses Microsoft Exchange Server, you can set up a directory account using that server's Global Address List. Ask your system administrator for help if you want to do this.

To add a directory service:

1.
Choose Tools > Accounts (Figure 24.30).

The Accounts dialog box appears.

2.
Click the Directory Service tab (Figure 24.31).

3.
Click New in the upper right-hand corner, and fill in the address of the service (provided by your ISP) in the Account Setup Assistant (Figure 24.32). Click the right arrow in the lower right-hand corner.
