Chapter 24. Contacts > Using Electronic Business Cards (vCards)

Using Electronic Business Cards (vCards)

You may get electronic business cards (vCards) as attachments to e-mail. You can recognize them by the .vcf filename extension. Entourage knows how to read vCards.

To import a vCard:

1.
Double-click the message in the Message List. Resize and move the message window so it is small enough that in the Entourage window behind it you can see the Message List and below it the message's Attachment pane with the vCard attachment (Figure 24.20).

Figure 24.20. Arrange the windows so you can see the Message List in the message window, as well as the opened message's Attachments pane, containing the vCard attachment.

2.
Double-click Address Book in the Folder List to select it; this replaces the Message List with your Address Book list (Figure 24.21).

3.
Bring the opened message window to the front (click in any part of it you can see, or choose it from the Window menu), and drag the attachment from the Attachment pane of the opened message window to your Address Book list (Figure 24.22).

The vCard is added to your Address Book list.
